SUBSCRIPTIONS - a special offer for infinity plus readers! (...subscription details)

SPECIAL ISSUE - the March 2002 issue was guest-edited by the team from infinity plus
(... details of the IP issue)

"I was one of the first 15 people in the US to subscribe to Interzone... because I truly believe without a short fiction market the genre will calcify. The existence of Interzone has brought British sf back from its deathbed. The fact that there is another major national tradition of sf helps us no end here in the US."
Bruce Sterling, interview in Locus: The Newspaper of the Science Fiction Field (May 1996)

"Without Interzone, the already depressed British sf publishing scene would become a wasteland, and there would be no place left for new British writers to develop their craft... Interzone is and has been vital to the evolution of science fiction in the eighties and nineties, and I personally hope that it continues to be so for many years to come."
Gardner Dozois, introduction to his The Year's Best Science Fiction, Thirteenth Annual Collection (New York, St Martin's Press, 1996)

iz cover INTERZONE, Britain's leading science-fiction and fantasy magazine, founded in 1982, has now published more than 200 issues. Shortlisted for the Hugo Award many years running, and a Hugo winner in 1995, it has a high reputation around the world. INTERZONE appears bimonthly, perfect bound and, now, full colour throughout.

INTERZONE has published short stories by many of the big names of the field, from Brian Aldiss and JG Ballard to Ian Watson and Gene Wolfe, but its particular strength has been in the nurturing of newer writers. Here are just some of the people we have published over the past dozen years:
